I always used nail polish, but I have found that rather than painting it on needle by needle it is so fast just to give them a quick dunk in the bottle.
Then stick them into a piece of Styrofoam to dry overnight.
I keep them in a plastic case that once held makeup remover wipes. I have a color coded key that lets me know which needle is which.
Little things can make life so much easier.
now thats smart
ReplyDeleteand such a easy solution, i realy hit myself for not thinking about it myself !

Was für eine tolle Idee.

Wish I had done that with my few needles that I have...I have no idea which is which now....and worse.... they all seem to do about the same thing.... none seems to really gather things any better than another ..... maybe I need some new ones and make sure I mark them this time.
ReplyDeleteHaven't been able to do any stabbing yet this summer... still working on getting my arm/elbow better. It hurts to do any small motor stuff still..... so even gripping a pen with the needle is out of the question...
Great idea! Not sure I'm ready for it though ~ I'm still breaking many ~ need more practice I guess. :(
ReplyDeleteA very good idea and something to do as soon as you purchase them but I'm with Cobblestone Creations, the fine ones are broken and the rest are bent!
ReplyDeleteI am doing this the same too since that last post you shared about this =)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Great idea! I spend ages screwing up my eyes trying to work out whether I have a fine or coarse needle.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'll have to buy some nail varnish.
